A sunny gorgeous wedding at Finca Son Termes – With one of the best teams I’ve worked with
Some wedding days just flow. From the morning prep to the last saxophone riff on the dance floor, this day at Finca Son Termes was one of those. A golden Mallorca sun beamed down all day, the vibe was pure joy, and the team? So friendly and highly skilled.
If you're planning a wedding in Mallorca, let me tell you why this one felt so special – and why Son Termes, nestled in the hills just outside Bunyola, might be the venue you didn’t know you needed.
First of all – Juanjo
Juanjo is the in-house planner at Finca Son Termes and honestly one of the nicest people you’ll meet in this industry. He was everywhere and nowhere all at once – always one step ahead, making things run smoothly, and somehow still calm and smiling. You can tell he truly cares, and couples absolutely adore him. So do us photographers! On the venue visit some weeks prior he told us he has done this since he was 14 years old! So you can imagine, he knows what he’s doing…
The ceremony: sunshine, strings and something a bit magical
The ceremony took place under the shade of old trees with that beautiful mountain breeze running through the valley. Helena Hjalmarsson was the celebrant, and she brought so much warmth and genuine presence to the couple’s story – it felt like she’d known them forever.
Maria, the violinist, played as guests arrived, and there’s something about live strings under the Mallorcan sun that just hits differently. Emotional but elegant. Like a scene from a film you want to rewatch.
Hair, makeup and pure glow
Ala was behind the bride’s effortlessly glowing look. Natural but polished – and it lasted all day (even through happy tears, heat and dancefloor madness, which is saying something!).
Music, dancing, and just the right amount of saxophone
After dinner, Mads, the DJ from DB Events, took over – and it wasn’t long before the shoes were off and the dance floor was alive. Adding to that? Manolo on sax! He led the guests from the dinner tables to the party room and from there the dance floor was lit! I’ve seen a lot of sax-guys on a lot of dance floors, but Manolo knew exactly when to play it cool and when to turn it up.
What I love about Son Termes
Besides the space itself – rustic elegance, mountain views, terraces that seem made for golden hour – I love how versatile this venue is. There are so many little spots to photograph in, and the transitions from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing feel completely natural.
Final thoughts
Weddings like this remind me why I love what I do. When you have a kind couple, a talented team, and a setting as breathtaking as Finca Son Termes, the day takes on a rhythm of its own.
If you’re planning your Mallorca wedding and want that mix of tradition, beauty, and joy – with a planner like Juanjo in your corner – I’d put this finca high on your list.
And if you want photos that reflect the vibe of the day, the sunshine, the laughs, and those once-in-a-lifetime moments, well… you know where to find me.
