The best part of being a wedding photographer in Mallorca

“Is being a wedding photographer your full-time job?”
“Do you live in Mallorca all year?”

If I had a euro for every time I’ve been asked those two questions at weddings, I’d have a luxury villa in Son Vida by now! (though, honestly, I’d still rather live in my almost first line rental in El Molinar… No lawn to maintain!).

And the answer is always:
Yes, I shoot weddings full time.
Yes, I live here all year.
And yes, it truly is an amazing job.

More than just a job

Being a wedding photographer in Mallorca isn’t just something I do. It’s something I feel incredibly lucky to live.

I get to witness people at their happiest, most emotional, most alive. I get to document tears and laughter, champagne pops and quiet in-between moments. And I get to do all of that surrounded by ancient olive groves, hilltop fincas, sea cliffs at sunset, and candlelit dinners under the stars.

Not to mention the music, the languages, the love stories that cross borders. Every weekend brings something new – and every couple brings their own magic.

The rhythm of the island

I live here year-round, which means I get to experience the full rhythm of Mallorca. The lush greens of spring, the golden glow of late summer, the crisp calm of winter when the island rests.

It’s this deep connection to the place that makes my work richer. I know where the light hits just right at 8:42 pm in June. I know secret spots away from the crowds. And I know how to help couples plan around the quirks of island life. Like siestas, heavy traffic, or that one dusty road Google Maps insists is drivable (it’s not). (On that note, I drove my Vespa just in front an Apple Maps car several kilometers some weeks ago. So keep an eye out for me at C/Llucmajor…)

It's not just about photos

One of the best parts of my job?
It’s the connections.

By the end of most weddings, I’ve chatted with the bride’s grandma, learned how to say “cheers” in at least two new languages and high fived with the children.

It’s not unusual that I end up dancing a little during the party (camera still in hand) or tearing up during the speeches. Because I’m not just there to photograph the wedding – I’m there to feel it.

And somehow, capturing all those fleeting moments makes them last forever.

Living the dream – and working hard for it

Is it glamorous? Sometimes.
Is it hard work? Always.

There are long days, sore feet, late-night backups, and sunburns that sneak past the SPF 50. But every gallery delivery, every couple that says, “We had no idea how much we’d treasure these,” makes it all worth it.

So yes – this is what I do

I live in Mallorca. I photograph weddings full time.
And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

The best part?
It's not just about the weddings – it’s about the people, the stories, and the feeling that, for just a day, I get to step into something truly unforgettable and make it last.
